Print Newspaper Willing to Cut Price in Half

When my parents called the local newspaper to decrease their print newspaper delivery from daily to only weekends the newspaper told them they were willing to deliver daily for practically the same price they would have paid for only weekends. I guess print media is getting desperate to keep your business. After the failure of most online subscription newspapers the legacy media is having a hard time making a buck. On the plus side, we’re gonna save tons of trees!

Update: As reported tonight on the NBC Nightly News, the Portland Herald is for sale with no takers.
